Pension is not an Income but subsistence allowance given by Govt. to its employees after their retirement. After becoming senior citizen a person needs more funds to lead his/her life comfortably as he/she requires more care on regular medical health than his/her young days. Moreover politicians such as Ex-MLAs/MPs are exempted from income tax whether he/she is Senior Citizen or young one. We request the Govt. to exempt the pension from Income Tax.
